Want to become a KRUX DJ?

Every semester, KRUX opens its doors to NMSU students, offering them the opportunity to gain live, on-air experience through a range of DJ positions. From every corner of campus and every field of study, students unite to become the heartbeat of KRUX!

If you're intrigued and ready to dive in, we invite you to tackle the nine questions below. Your responses will be carefully reviewed by our KRUX Programming Director, who will be in touch with you soon!

Please give a brief synopsis of why you're interested in becoming a DJ

What is the name of your show?

If you have one

Name of On-Air Persona

If you are not using your name

The genre of your Show

Talk show/music and what you would talk about/type of music you would focus on

Name some artists you would definitely play on your show

Describe what your show would consist of and also the general vibe that you’re going for with it.

For example, you could include a particular theme, topics you would discuss (if any), and who your demographic would be.

If you want to include a playlist to give us a better idea of what music will be played on your show, you can send it to kruxprog@nmsu.edu

Please include your name and your show name in the subject.

Dates and Times you would prefer to be on the air

Keep in mind that shows can either be one of the following: One show for a total of 2-hours a week OR two shows a week with 1 hour of airtime per show. TOTAL OF 2 HOURS A WEEK

Your show can be anytime from 8:00 AM - 11:59 PM Monday - Sunday

Please also include dates and times over the next two to three weeks you would be available for an interview
