Hey everyone! I am Daquiri or best known as Daq! This is my third year working at KRUX and my first year as the station manager. I am majoring in Fashion Merchandising, with minors in Marketing & Social Media Management. I never anticipated ever being involved in Radio, but I now can say I truly love it and all the aspects! In my free time, I enjoy, of course, listening to music but also working on creating content and hours of editing. Probably my favorite part of working at KRUX 91.5 FM is the ambiance here and the connections we make with each other and the local music scene! Make sure you tune in because we are always bringing you the new!
Hey everyone! I'm Zach, the Programming Director here at KRUX. I'm a junior majoring in Aerospace Engineering with a Minor in Materials Engineering. I'm a pretty nerdy guy who plays an abundance of Dungeons & Dragons and plays multiple instruments. Music has always been a pretty big part of my life! I was always listening to music in the middle of whatever I was doing, so I have a pretty diverse music taste. I've worked in the radio industry for about 2.5 years, and I have gotten to do some interviews with some pretty amazing artists! COVID gave me a lot of free time, so I started diving into making playlists that tell a story! Right now, my favorite artist is probably Palaye Royale!
Yo! My name's Nathaniel, but most people just call me Nate! I'm the Assistant Program Director who's majoring in Journalism. If I'm not moshing next to you in some hole-in-the-wall concert, I'm probably swerving past you on my board. I grew up on classic rap, R&B, and Jazz but then found myself moving more towards indie and alternative once I got older. Music Is my biggest passion. Nothing makes me happier than an awesome guitar rift and a crazy drummer. I host my show Crash Collision, which you'd absolutely love if you're into local music. I am really happy to be working at KRUX. Music just brings the best people together, and I'm happy it brought me here. So if music somehow brings you to me, or me to you, feel free to say hi! Or awkwardly give me a wave…! I'll appreciate either just as much!
Hi! I'm Mia, the Online Content Director here at KRUX 91.5 FM, which means I created the website you're on right now! I am in my fourth year at New Mexico State University, working toward a Journalism and Mass Communications degree with an emphasis in Strategic Communications, along with minors in Sports Marketing, Advertising, Strategic Communications, Social Media Management and Marketing. I was a part of student media during my first and second years at The Round Up as a Sportswriter and decided to come back my last year to create for KRUX. I'm a Las Cruces, New Mexico native who graduated from Las Cruces High School, and in my free time, I love listening to music, going to the movie theaters and creating content such as photos and videos!
When I was little, my dad would always tell me, "you've got a face for radio, kid." I didn't realize it was a joke at the time, but I always kinda liked the sound of that. My name is Bardo, and I'm the Music Director here at KRUX. I'm a film student here at CMI and have worked on a few professional sets. I like to say I'm a writer and director, but I'm really a Swiss Army knife when it comes to most things. There's little that I don't accomplish when I set my mind to it.
Hi everyone! I'm Nasai, better known as Sai! This is going to be my first year here at KRUX as the Assistant Music Director. I'm currently a Sophomore here at NMSU, majoring in Digital Film Making with a minor in Fashion! I'm a connoisseur of all things art, but my interest in music has basically become my entire personality. During the pandemic is really when my desire for a career in music came to life. More specifically, it was when I found the videos "Eyez" and "Dreamville Presents: REVENGE (Documentary)" by Dreamville. It was so unique and beautiful to see this process of not only making music but the collaboration of these artists. To experience the culture and history with them was so different from any ordinary music documentary. The pandemic gave me so much time, and all I wanted to do was research music, dissect it and come to understand the artist outside of their music as well. Which has led me to want to capture the same impacts music has left on me and share its inspirations with whoever seeks it.
Hi, My name is Brandy Delgado, and I'm the Production Director for KRUX! I am studying Animal Science Industry. I have been a part of the team for a bit over a year, but I've learned so much, and I loved the experiences I've had here. I host my Show, "Weekly Dose of Brandy: The Dedicataholic." A fun fact about me is that I've never had previous experience before with any tech work or production work, but I've learned so much, and I hope I am a good part of KRUX, haha! I wish for KRUX to grow and stay strong because I love the connection we can make with our community of young students and any listeners we've had for years and the ones made along the way!
Hi!! I’m Naomi Tercero! I was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM, and I am a Creative Writing major! I have been writing since I was able to pick up a pen, and I’ve loved it ever since. I also spend a lot of time reading, mostly sci-fi and fantasy books. (I’ve also loved reading since before I really could) I hope to write for the rest of my life, whether it be scripts, books, or maybe even for video games!
Hi, I’m Adara Walker, and I am one of the newest members of KRUX 91.5 FM. I’m from Southern California and graduated high school in Clovis, New Mexico. I am a sophomore at NMSU and transferred in the fall of last year! I’m a Biochemistry and Genetics major on a pre-med path. Music and media have encapsulated the best parts of my life. My favorite thing in the world is going to concerts; I am always on the prowl for live music! If being a professional fan was a salary job, I would be the best in the business. I spent most of my life planning a music-centered career until I decided I had an opportunity to make a bigger impact in my community as a doctor. During the pandemic, I spent 2 years working in a local ER, and I plan to pursue rural Emergency Medicine in the future. I spend my free time practicing yoga, watching and analyzing movies, finding new music other than Phoebe Bridgers, and trying to make as many people laugh as I can.
Hello! I’m Nidia Jiménez, and I am a new addition to KRUX 91.5 FM. I was born and raised in El Paso, TX, where I grew up hearing stories from the US/Mexico Borderlands. I am a Latin x environmental filmmaker who has always been drawn to true stories. Especially those that involve issues in my community, the Texas borderland. I am inspired by the untold stories of people who cross the border every day, hoping for a better life. Growing up in a melting pot of border culture, the music, flavor and stories have given me my unique and underrepresented worldview perspective. I value sharing stories in a meaningful way and understand the power these stories have to help the community.
I am from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have been working since I was 15, and I have always had a passion to be involved with Marketing in any aspect, specifically in the golf industry. My family is a huge golfing family, my dad is a pro, so the golf business is all I know, and I would really like to do something in that industry. Working at Student Media has really broadened my horizons for what I want to do with my career, and I have gained so much experience here, and I hope to take my new marketing experience elsewhere and continue to grow in my career.

Hello, I am Zoe Barnes, the Graphic Designer here at Student Media. I work with both KRUX 91.5 FM and The Round Up. I'm originally from Silver City, NM, and I graduated from Silver High School. I am currently a senior at NMSU working towards a Bachelor in Fine Arts degree with a minor in Advertising. My art is a little weird, colorful, and chaotic. Outside of art, I love music, my current obsession is collecting vinyl, and I have all but two Metallica albums! In my free time, I thrift for vinyl, do some photography, watch horror movies and anime, and of course, I draw. I plan on pursuing a design career to continue to do funky illustrations.
Hi, I’m Pamela, and I’m a graphic designer for both KRUX 91.5 FM and The Round Up. I work with an amazingly talented graphic designer named Zoe, and I owe her most of my growth as a designer. I’ve lived in Las Cruces, NM, for the majority of my life, and I’m a first-generation Mexican-American. I am currently a junior majoring in Studio Arts with a focus on Graphic Design and Photography. I have loved drawing ever since I was little, and I am now planning to become a professional graphic designer when I graduate.
