Nate Shinners | General Manager
Yo! My name's Nathaniel, but most people just call me Nate! I'm the General Manager for KRUX. If I'm not moshing next to you in some hole-in-the-wall concert, I'm probably swerving past you on my board. I grew up on classic hip-hop, R&B, and jazz but then found myself moving more towards indie and punk once I hit college. Music Is my biggest passion. Nothing makes me happier than an awesome guitar rift and a crazy drummer. I am really happy to be working at KRUX. Music just brings the best people together, and I'm happy it brought me here. KRUX was my door into the music industry, so I’m determined to offer that same opportunity to others.
Adara Walker | Music Director
Hey cool kids, I’m Adara, your go-to person for everything music at KRUX 91.5 FM. I’m the mastermind (I wish) behind the music you’re tuning into.
I grew up in Southern California and graduated from Clovis, New Mexico. Currently, I’m knee-deep in my senior-ish year, pursuing a biochemistry degree.
Though my academic pursuits are in chem labs, my true passion lies in the vibrant world of music and media. Planning concerts here at KRUX has been the most insane experience! Nothing compares to the thrill of live music—I’m always on the hunt for the next big gig! If there were a job for being a professional fan, you know I’d be at the top of the list.
Besides my all-consuming music life, you’ll find me in the great outdoors—hiking and camping are my go-to adventures. I'm a total cinephile film bro and will dissect your favorite movie to a pulp. My wardrobe is my playground, I LOVE playing dress up in my own closet- I’d say I have pretty killer taste. Most of all I just wanna make people smile wherever I go. I’m a lover girl after all…
In the grand scheme of things, my goal is simple: to make a positive impact, whether through exploring genetic code or a sweet jam sesh. So, if you need a biology tutor or just want to chat about the latest album releases, I’m here for you!
Rubi Reyes | Production Director
Hey gang, I’m Rubí! I’m from El Paso and it’s currently my first year at NMSU as an economics major. Some things I love are rewatching the same shows, buldak noodles, romcoms, 79¢ Polar Pops from Circle K, legos, and of course, music. Music is literally my entire life and everything I aspire to do revolves around it. I started producing my own little unmixed covers when I was 15 and I guess I just never stopped. I write a ton of songs on my guitar and love to sing along to anything! I’m super picky with food and music but i’ll try anything at least once! I listen to a ton of rock music in both english and spanish and my best friend is spotify’s DJ X. I’ve been listening to the radio since forever and some of the best memories i have are from listening to radio hosts in the morning and during christmas time with my mom! If you ever need a rhythm guitarist, someone to hop on fortnite with, or someone to add reverb to your tracks, i am so your guy. I’m so so so happy to be the Production Director here at KRUX !!! :)
Cole Rowland | Programming Director
Howdy! I'm Clayton Rowland, but I go by Cole. Currently, I'm a junior enrolled at NMSU, diligently pursuing a marketing degree while simultaneously immersing myself in the realms of business law as my minor field of study. Getting the privilege to serve as the Director of Programming at KRUX FM on our vibrant campus, I proudly carry the Aggie spirit within me. Originating from Portales, NM, my journey led me to the captivating city of Las Cruces, where I embarked on a quest for knowledge and personal growth.
During my leisure hours, I enthusiastically engage in the dynamic world of Twitch streaming. As the sun sets on my office responsibilities, you'll often find me weaving my virtual magic online, engaging with my viewers, and indulging in spirited gaming sessions. My trajectory within the media arena traces back to my high school days, a path I've decided to continue in the form of contributing to KRUX FM for the last 3 years here at NMSU. I've embraced the philosophy of living each day to the fullest, savoring every fleeting moment in the present.

Hey everyone!! I’m Naomi and I am the Content Director for this year @ KRUX. I am in charge of all the online content you’ll be seeing on our pages. This is my third year with KRUX and my third year at NMSU studying journalism with too many minors and too many extra credits. (I changed my major soooo many times.) I’m so excited to take over online content this year, I’ve always been into marketing and social media and I’ve always loved music. I listen to a bit of everything (when it comes to country, I have an open mind. But if it doesn’t pass the vibe check, it doesn’t pass the vibe check), but I really enjoy folk and blues, indie, pop, and I like when these intermix. I’m always watching movies or TV shows and annoying everyone with what I have to say. I love stories, reading, and writing. I’m very slowly figuring it out what I want to do with my life but I feel like I’m finally coming over the hill.
