Hey everyone! I am Daquiri or best known as Daq! This is my third year working at KRUX and my first year as the station manager. I am majoring in Fashion Merchandising, with minors in Marketing & Social Media Management. I never anticipated ever being involved in Radio, but I now can say I truly love it and all the aspects! In my free time, I enjoy, of course, listening to music but also working on creating content and hours of editing. Probably my favorite part of working at KRUX 91.5 FM is the ambiance here and the connections we make with each other and the local music scene! Make sure you tune in because we are always bringing you the new!
Yo! My name's Nathaniel, but most people just call me Nate! I'm the Program Director who's majoring in Journalism. If I'm not moshing next to you in some hole-in-the-wall concert, I'm probably swerving past you on my board. I grew up on classic rap, R&B, and Jazz but then found myself moving more towards indie and alternative once I got older. Music Is my biggest passion. Nothing makes me happier than an awesome guitar rift and a crazy drummer. I am really happy to be working at KRUX. Music just brings the best people together, and I'm happy it brought me here. So if music somehow brings you to me, or me to you, feel free to say hi! Or awkwardly give me a wave…! I'll appreciate either just as much!
When I was little, my dad would always tell me, "you've got a face for radio, kid." I didn't realize it was a joke at the time, but I always kinda liked the sound of that. My name is Bardo, and I'm the Music Director here at KRUX. I'm a film student here at CMI and have worked on a few professional sets. I like to say I'm a writer and director, but I'm really a Swiss Army knife when it comes to most things. There's little that I don't accomplish when I set my mind to it.
Hi everyone! I'm Nasai, better known as Sai! This is going to be my first year here at KRUX as the Assistant Music Director. I'm currently a Sophomore here at NMSU, majoring in Digital Film Making with a minor in Fashion! I'm a connoisseur of all things art, but my interest in music has basically become my entire personality. During the pandemic is really when my desire for a career in music came to life. More specifically, it was when I found the videos "Eyez" and "Dreamville Presents: REVENGE (Documentary)" by Dreamville. It was so unique and beautiful to see this process of not only making music but the collaboration of these artists. To experience the culture and history with them was so different from any ordinary music documentary. The pandemic gave me so much time, and all I wanted to do was research music, dissect it and come to understand the artist outside of their music as well. Which has led me to want to capture the same impacts music has left on me and share its inspirations with whoever seeks it.
Hi!! I’m Naomi Tercero! I was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM, and I am a Creative Writing major! I have been writing since I was able to pick up a pen, and I’ve loved it ever since. I also spend a lot of time reading, mostly sci-fi and fantasy books. (I’ve also loved reading since before I really could) I hope to write for the rest of my life, whether it be scripts, books, or maybe even for video games!
Hi, I’m Adara your Online Content Director for KRUX 91.5 FM. I work to design the website you're currently looking at! I’m from Southern California and graduated high school in Clovis, New Mexico. I am a junior at NMSU and I'm Biochemistry and Genetics major on a pre-med path. Music and media have encapsulated the best parts of my life. My favorite thing in the world is going to concerts; I am always on the prowl for live music! If being a professional fan was a salary job, I would be the best in the business. I spent most of my life planning a music-centered career until I decided I had an opportunity to make a bigger impact in my community as a doctor. During the pandemic, I spent 2 years working in a local ER, and I plan to pursue rural Emergency Medicine in the future. I spend my free time practicing yoga, watching and analyzing movies, finding new music other than Phoebe Bridgers, and trying to make as many people laugh as I can.
Hello! I’m Nidia Jiménez, and I am a new addition to KRUX 91.5 FM. I was born and raised in El Paso, TX, where I grew up hearing stories from the US/Mexico Borderlands. I am a Latin x environmental filmmaker who has always been drawn to true stories. Especially those that involve issues in my community, the Texas borderland. I am inspired by the untold stories of people who cross the border every day, hoping for a better life. Growing up in a melting pot of border culture, the music, flavor and stories have given me my unique and underrepresented worldview perspective. I value sharing stories in a meaningful way and understand the power these stories have to help the community.
Greetings! I'm Clayton Rowland, though I go by Cole. Currently, I'm a sophomore enrolled at NMSU, diligently pursuing a Marketing degree while simultaneously immersing myself in the realms of Spanish and Social Media Management as my minor fields of study. Holding the esteemed role of Chief Engineer at KRUX 91.5 on our vibrant campus, I proudly carry the Aggie spirit within me. Originating from Portales, NM, my journey led me to the captivating city of Las Cruces, where I've embarked on a quest for knowledge and personal growth. My compass consistently points towards cherishing my family, a cornerstone of my values, alongside relishing moments spent with cherished friends.
During my leisure hours, I enthusiastically engage in the dynamic world of Twitch streaming, passionately connected to the exhilarating domain of Esports. As the sun sets on my office responsibilities, you'll often find me weaving my virtual magic online, engaging with my viewers and indulging in spirited gaming sessions with comrades. My trajectory within the media arena traces back to my high school days, a path I've decided to continue in the form of contributing to Student Media at NMSU. I've embraced the philosophy of living each day to the fullest, savoring every fleeting moment in the present.
In the eloquent words of the legendary country crooner George Strait, "I ain't here for a long time, I'm here for a good time." I hope everyone has a great semester and Vamos Aggies!
Hi, I’m Pamela, and I’m a graphic designer for both KRUX 91.5 FM and The Round Up. I work with an amazingly talented graphic designer named Zoe, and I owe her most of my growth as a designer. I’ve lived in Las Cruces, NM, for the majority of my life, and I’m a first-generation Mexican-American. I am currently a junior majoring in Studio Arts with a focus on Graphic Design and Photography. I have loved drawing ever since I was little, and I am now planning to become a professional graphic designer when I graduate. If I’m not drawing, then I’m usually reading or playing Minecraft/Overwatch. Apart from that, I absolutely love collecting cute items like rubber ducks, stickers, and plushies.
Hey everyone! I'm Graven, the new marketing director for Krux and the Round Up! I'm currently majoring in Dance with a focus in Contemporary, and minoring in Business.
